Parenting After Separation for Indigenous Families

Family change can take many forms, including separation, divorce, new parenting arrangements, or other shifts in family structure. Parenting After Separation for Indigenous Families supports Indigenous parents and caregivers during these transitions. The course recognizes the importance of culture, identity, family, and community in supporting children.

In this course, caregivers will:

  • Develop skills to enhance wellness
  • Learn ways to strengthen your child’s emotional and cultural well-being
  • Explore tools to reduce conflict and improve communication
  • Strengthen co-parenting skills
  • Learn about legal and community resources

Important: This course complements the Parenting After Separation (PAS) course. It does not meet the requirement to complete the Parenting After Separation (PAS) course. You must complete the standard PAS course if it is required for your court matter.
